Our Story
Crossi® was founded in 2008 with a vision of creating gorgeous yet affordable handbags that women everywhere would love. We started small in a workshop in New York City, where our skilled artisans assembled our first collection of hand-sewn, custom-designed purses.
We quickly gained a following of discerning customers who loved our focus on premium materials, impeccable craftsmanship, and on-trend silhouettes rendered in vibrant colors and distinct prints. As demand grew, we moved production overseas while upholding our commitment to excellent quality standards.
Today, Crossi® operates out of our design studios in New York City and Los Angeles. Trend-Spotting and Design
Our seasoned designers are constantly developing fresh purse and handbag designs inspired by the latest fashion trends. Before a single sketch is made, we research up-and-coming styles, materials, and detailing by attending major fashion trade shows and staying on the pulse of what fashion-forward shoppers are looking for.
Once our designers are ready to bring their visions to life, every Crossi® bag begins as a concept. Our design team creates initial sketches and canvas mockups to finetune the silhouette, dimensions, and features until we’re satisfied we have a winning look.
Material Sourcing and Production
Next, our team hand-selects the best premium leathers, canvas, hardware, and lining materials for each design. We source high-quality real leather hides from Italy and Spain and rich cotton canvas from tightly regulated suppliers.
Once materials are chosen, our designs go into production at our network of third-party manufacturing partners. We work closely with each factory to ensure our premium quality standards and ethical production values are met at every stage, from pattern making and cut and sew to finishing.
Quality Control and Distribution
Before our purses, totes and handbags make it into your hands, they undergo rigorous quality control inspection. Our QC team thoroughly examines each bag to check for any defects and verify excellent craftsmanship. If a purse doesn’t pass our strict standards, it doesn’t get shipped.
Once our handbags pass inspection, they are carefully packaged and shipped from our distribution centers in major metro areas to our nationwide network of retail partners or direct to our online customers.
